This is an ideal destination for a family holiday, with the beach on your doorstep, plenty of space for everyone and a private pool in the backyard. There are four bedrooms with five beds and five bathrooms, with two of the bedrooms enjoying sea views. There are also see views from the outdoor dining area. The house is simply but comfortably furnished and has a calm, neutral decor.

The Neighbourhood

It’s a five minute stroll to the shops and restaurants of Skaleta town. About 12 kilometres east of Rethymno, Skaleta beach is a quiet spot, with sun beds and umbrellas available for rent. Water sports are also on offer in the area. For a taste of Cretan culture and nightlife, head for Rethymno by car or readily available public transport. It’s a small city with a lovely harbour and Egyptian lighthouse.
