Get the most out of your visit to Florence

Florence was the birthplace of the Renaissance and home to some of the most iconic artistic and architectural masterpieces in the world, is a must-see when visiting Italy.

The most common mistake made by visitors to Florence is not allotting sufficient time to explore all that Florence has to offer

The Florence Duomo is a must, but be sure to visit first thing in the morning in order to avoid the crowds. If you plan to join a tour, check that it has “skip-the-line” access and that it includes the church, baptistery, bell tower, dome, and museum.

Allow yourself plenty of time to absorb the extraordinary art in the Uffizi and Accademia galleries.

Piazzale Michelangelo (Michelangelo Square) is a square with a panoramic view of Florence, Italy, located in the Oltrarno district of the city

For a more relaxed experience take a stroll from the Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria to the quiet lanes of the Oltrarno.  Head to the Piazzale Michelangelo on foot or bike, to watch the sun set over the water.
